Obituary of James R. Morgan

 

Mr. James R.  Morgan of Sparrowbush, NY and a lifetime resident of the area died Monday, July 27, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY.  He was 65.

 

He was born August 19, 1954 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Harry Morgan and the late Margie Conklin Morgan.

 

Earlier in life James worked as a Carpenter for Halo Homes in Monroe and for William VanHorn Construction.

 

A family statement read: He loved to hunt and had his own hunting club he called Black Hawk Hunting Club.  He also loved to fish with his Brother-in-Law, Robert Ridley

 

Surviving are:

Wife: Leona Morgan at home

Brother: John Harry Morgan and his wife Mary of Huguenot, NY

brother-in-law: Charles West and his wife Elaine of Springfield, MO

brother-in-law: Paul West and his wife Keturah of Laurel, MD

sister-in-law:    Virginia Palmer and her husband Carl of Winder, GA

sister-in-law:    Erma Todd-Ridley and her husband Robert of Matamoras, PA

sister-in-law:    Barbara Morgan of Westbrookville, NY

Also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews

2 predeceased brothers: Robert "Bobby" Morgan and Harry "Jingles" Morgan

2 predeceased brothers-in-law: Howard West and Larry Todd

Predeceased mother-in-law and father-in-law:  Theodore and Amelia West

 

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 10:00am – 11:00am at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc. 100 East Main Street Port Jervis followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

 

Burial will be at Glen Spey Cemetery, Glen Spey, NY.
